How are your New Year's Resolutions going?

Well, by now you're either into a routine with your new year's goals, or you've abandon them. I'm sure you think it's strange that I'm addressing them right now, but there's one you may have overlooked!

Did anyone create a resolution to keep up on their photo collection? To spend a small amount of time each day deleting old photos, or once a week going through an old photo album, sorting photos into piles, so that they are ready when you decide to "really" get them organized?

I am constantly reminding myself to purge unnecessary photos, but it's hard. With every photo comes things to consider. Should I file it (and if so, what digital file folder)? Is it worthy of keeping? Is it a screen shot of something I've kept elsewhere? Is it best 1 of the 20 photos I've taken? Am I celebrating the special photos I have in some way.

This is just the beginner list of things that go through my mind when I delete photos - to me it's really difficult. But, by making it a goal for you to tackle every day, week, month of the year, it will get easier and become routine. Find a time and make it happen. And if your collection becomes monstrous in size, let me know and I can help tame the photo monster.

Hope you doing well on your resolutions - now's the time to add another one for the 2nd quarter of the year!
